We’ve just returned from a magical week on the sleepiest of the Balearic islands, with our very first Wild Swim Menorca Crew! We were blessed with a lovely bunch of women to swim with, hot sunshine, almost no wind and 25 degree water temperatures, we couldn’t have asked for better for our first Menorcan retreat.
We’ve launched our Summer 2024 Surf & Yoga Weekends, 4 day intensive Beginner Courses and 5 day White to Green Improver courses with some lovely early bird discounts. These discounts are available for a limited time and on a limited number of spaces so book early and save some extra pennies to maximise your escape to Cornwall!
The wonderful Cornwall. For us surfers that live here year round there’s nowhere else we’d rather be. With 250 miles of coastline and over 300 beaches to choose from, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to surfing. So before you book a trip to France or Portugal, take a moment to consider why it might be worth visiting Cornwall instead. If you need persuading, read on below.
It’s time to celebrate another wonderful woman in our Surf Sistas Interview series! This time we had the joy of chatting to long term friend of Surf Sistas and all round one women circus Rosie Underwood.
And although she’s a legend of the big city lights, Rosie is a grounded soul, creating space to enjoy the ocean through surfing and swimming as well as dedicating time to helping others.
You may be a city dweller yourself, exploring how you balance life as an urbanite with your passion for surfing or swimming. You might find Rosie’s story inspiring and relatable!
We chatted to her earlier this year to learn more about her life and her relationship with surfing and the ocean.
At Surf Sistas, we’re always on the look out to share stories of talented Women from the Surf Scene. Recently, we caught up with Bella Bunce, an emerging filmmaker who recently got back from a trip to Mexico.
Beth and Bella teamed up again at the beginning of this year, taking a road trip through a remote peninsula in Mexico, to bring us a new surf film: Unplugged. What a dream team!
With the far flung corners of Mexico known for being pretty off grid and hard to get to (and also dangerous), we were intrigued to here how they navigated the challenges of off-grid living, filmmaking and wavehunting. Bella tells us all about it below.
