ACCOMMODATION
Your home for the weekend is Seaview Tipis & Shepherd’s Huts perched above Bedruthan Steps overlooking the Atlantic. Crisp sheets, cosy blankets, private fire pits and shared social space make this glamping experience feel special, soulful and truly restorative.
Unplug from modern life and enjoy this unique setting on the North Cornwall coast. We won’t need apps or webcams to check the forecast, just take a peek out of your tipi for sweeping Atlantic views.
Your tipi is furnished with bed(s), crisp fresh sheets, cosy blankets, low tables and lanterns. You will find a camping stove and kettle and all you need to make tea and coffee. Each tipi has its own fire pit and picnic bench and we have a communal tipi space for reading, relaxing and chatting to your fellow Swim Sistas.
2 eco loos and 2 gas powered hot showers are just a few minutes walk (max) from your tipi. Showers are on and hot 24/7 so there is always lovely warm water waiting for you. Shampoo, conditioner and hand wash are provided.

HOW TO GET HERE
Drive and park right at Seaview Tipis, or travel by train / flight to Newquay and we’ll organise your transfer (included for those that need it).
Check train options at www.thetrainline.com and flight options to NQY at www.skyscanner.net
Please drop us a line to discuss travel options that will work the best for you.
IS THIS WEEKEND RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Enjoy time in the sea without having to plan, research tides, or second-guess conditions – just turn up and swim.
- Feel more at ease in open water, with gentle guidance that helps you understand the coast and your own limits better.
- Spend a few days moving your body, eating well and sleeping properly – the kind of reset that’s hard to give yourself at home.
- Experience Cornwall in a quieter, more considered way, guided by locals, away from busy beaches and packed itineraries.
- Share the water with women who are there for the same reason: not to prove anything, just to enjoy being in the sea.
For many people, this weekend isn’t about pushing harder — it’s about slowing down, getting back into the water, and remembering why it feels good to be there.
MEALS
Delicious home cooked breakfasts, lunches and evening meals are included in your retreat weekend. The lovely team from Agweres cater for us with provenance, seasonality and the hearty appetite of swimmers in mind.
Agweres work closely with Newquay Orchard CSA and base our menus around their seasonal availability of vegetables and herbs. Eggs are sourced from Penbugle, an organic farm in South East Cornwall, milk from Trink; a forward thinking dairy in West Cornwall, who prioritise animal welfare, caring for the environment, and the quality of their milk over mass
production. To complement these local ingredients Agweres also use chickpeas, beans, and olive oil from artisanal organic producers in Portugal, and panela and cacao from Columbia all shipped to Cornwall by sail by New Dawn
Traders.
Tea and coffee are provided and we will also provide a couple of large cool boxes in our communal space for everyone to use for any extra snacks and cold drinks. Remember we are off-grid so no electricity on site (there is a small battery that will charge phones though if needed).
We are happy to cater to different diet requirements but please let us know prior to the retreat

SWIMS, DIPS & TIDEPOOLS
The weekend includes six guided swims, ranging from relaxed dips in sheltered tide pools to scenic distance swims of up to 2km along some of our favourite North Cornwall beaches and coves.
On Saturday and Sunday, one of the swims is paired with a coastal walk along the South West Coast Path – a chance to explore the coastline at a slower pace before arriving at a swim spot that feels earned rather than rushed.
You’ll also take part in a Swim Forecasting session, where we share how we read conditions, choose suitable locations and find calmer, more protected places to swim – useful knowledge if you’re planning your own independent sea swims in the future.
This weekend is designed to work for distance swimmers, dippers and splashers alike. Whether you enjoy covering ground, prefer a steady pace, or simply want time in the water, the group is supported in a way that allows everyone to swim comfortably without pressure or comparison.
Our Swim Sistas Guides are highly experienced open-water swimmers who know this coastline intimately. They’ll be alongside you in the water, offering guidance on technique where helpful, supporting ocean confidence, and making sure each swim feels safe, considered and enjoyable

YOGA, BREATHWORK & A WOOD FIRED SAUNA
The weekend includes a guided breathwork session designed to help you feel calmer and more confident in open and cold water, alongside a restorative yoga class to gently release swim-tired limbs.
After time in the sea, you’ll also have the chance to warm up in a wood-fired sauna overlooking the coast. With the sound of waves below and the light changing as the sun sets, it’s a simple, grounding way to slow things down and let the day land.

WHAT TO BRING
Bring at least two sets of swimwear, a full wetsuit or shortie if you would like to swim in one, swim goggles, a tow float, a swim hat if you have one (hint – there will also be one in your goody bag!), Dry robe if you have one, 2 towels (fast drying advisable), day sac (its easier to carry a ruck sac style bag than a tote bag style when walking on the coast path).
A torch, comfy bed, soaps, toilet roll, furnishings, hot water bottle and fire pit with wood are all included in your stay.

FAQs
SECURITY
The tipi field is fully enclosed and accessed via a private, gated entrance for Seaview Tipis guests only. Gates are secured with a combination padlock, and the code will be shared with guests.
As with most outdoor and coastal retreats, we recommend travelling light and avoiding bringing valuables. While you’re in the water, a member of the Swim Sistas team will always remain with the group and keep an eye on bags and towels.
PHONE CHARGING
Battery packs will be available for charging phones during the weekend. We encourage a low-key approach to phone use, but you’ll be able to keep devices topped up if needed.
ACCESSABILITY
The weekend includes walking on uneven ground, sections of the South West Coast Path above high cliffs, and some easy rock scrambling to access certain tide pools.
We’re keen to make this retreat as accessible and enjoyable as possible, so if you have any questions, concerns or specific needs, please do get in touch and we’ll happily talk things through.
